Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring at least 1 year of experience and a compact or OK RN license.

Details

• Provides nursing care in the Pediatric ICU of a hospital setting
• CVICU and NICU experience preferred
• Level 1 trauma experience preferred
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board or multistate compact/eNLC) required
• Current BLS and PALS certifications from AHA required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Strong knowledge of nursing theory, practices, and techniques
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills required
• Full DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides direct care to an assigned group of pediatric ICU patients
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and monitors physiological data
• Administers medications and manages IV infusions and blood products as prescribed
• Collaborates with physicians on diagnostic procedures and treatments
• Communicates care plans and discharge information with patients and families
• Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Credentialing and compliance deadlines are strictly enforced with no start date flexibility
• Travelers may extend once for a maximum of 26 weeks, requiring a 6-month separation before reapplying
• 30-day written notice required for early assignment cancellation
