Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring an active IL license and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

  • PICU unit within a children's hospital setting
  • 12-hour day shift schedule, 36 hours per week
  • Shift hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
  • Uses Epic EMR
  • One holiday work requirement (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's)

Requirements

  • Active IL RN license required (permanent only, no EO, temp, or pending license accepted)
  • Current certifications: CPR, PALS, and BSN
  • Minimum 3 years of PICU/CICU experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • 2 professional references required (1 within the last year)
  • COVID and flu vaccinations required

Additional Information

  • Not suitable for first-time travelers due to unit requirements
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same bill rate as travelers, but a 50-mile radius rule applies for this unit
  • Previous employees must have been separated from the facility for at least one year to reapply
  • Previous travelers must have been off assignment for at least 45 days to reapply
  • RTO maximum of 10 days, with travelers required to make up time by extending the end of their contract
  • No block scheduling permitted
