Job Summary
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Open Heart RN Location: Anschutz Medical Campus. This position involves providing specialized care in a dedicated Pediatric Intensive Care Unit focused on open heart cases, supporting critically ill pediatric patients. The role requires collaboration within a dynamic, high-acuity environment to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Position Title: RN - PICU Open Heart.
- Shift: Rotating 12-hour days and nights (6:45 AM 7:15 PM / 6:45 PM 7:15 AM) based on unit needs.
- Length of Assignment: 13 weeks, from 10/20/2026 to 01/23/2027.
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: BSN required or ADN with 6+ years relevant experience; Active Colorado RN License or Multi-State Compact License; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Basic Life Support (BLS); 2-3 years of staff RN experience in dedicated Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit or Pediatric CICU Open Heart setting; travel experience required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRAN) certification; Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) experience; teaching hospital experience.
- Schedule Notes: Weekend shifts up to 75%; seasonal influenza vaccine required; preference for candidates willing to work one winter holiday (Christmas 2026 or New Year 2027); no RTO approved during the first two weeks.
- Additional Information: Candidate must adhere to the 50-Mile Radius Rule; float within the Anschutz Medical Campus and within 35 miles as needed.
