- Position Description: The Clinical Nurse II is an RN practicing as a full partner on the health care team, demonstrating safe practice within the organizational professional practice model. The nurse independently provides patient care through the application of the nursing process and accepts accountability for the care of assigned pediatric patients. The role emphasizes Patient and Family Centered Care, Evidence-Based Practice and Research, Safety, Continuous Quality Improvement, Teamwork, Technology/Informatics, Professionalism, and Leadership.
- Required Qualifications: California RN License, American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). A minimum of three years of pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) RN experience, proficiency in clinical equipment and technology, and the ability to guide unlicensed assistive personnel.
- Experience: 3 years of pediatric CVICU RN experience.
- Specialty: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (Open Heart).
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Start Date: 09/28/2026.
- End Date: 12/26/2026.
- Additional Information: The nurse must have pediatric ICU experience, proficiency in clinical equipment operation, and demonstrate competencies in patient-centered care, safety, and evidence-based practice.
