Job Details
- Position Description: This role assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs. It reviews patient history, physical assessments, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results as needed. The nurse formulates care plans, including discharge planning, based on comprehensive assessments and multidisciplinary input. Responsibilities include direct patient care, delegation, supervision, documentation, and ongoing evaluation of patient responses to treatment. The nurse promotes continuity of care and participates in research and quality improvement activities, supporting growth of team members through precepting and mentoring.
- Required Qualifications: Current, valid registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or a valid compact license, BLS certification, and a minimum of 1 year experience in an acute care hospital or applicable setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in nursing and professional certification relevant to pediatric care.
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The role involves interacting with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, families, and external contacts regarding patient care, while adhering to policies, procedures, and standards of care.
