Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Pediatric Emergency Room (ER PEDS) specialist for a position in an inpatient pediatric emergency care setting. This role involves providing specialized pediatric emergency care within a hospital environment, working during evening shifts. Job Details
- Position Description: ER PEDS specialist caring for pediatric patients in an emergency setting, with responsibilities including assessment, treatment, and stabilization.
- Required Qualifications: Iowa/IA license or multistate license, minimum of 2 years of pediatric and pediatric emergency room experience within the past 24 months, active American Heart Association or ARC/Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), TNCC certification, and at least 1 travel contract completed within the past 18 months.
- Schedule: Evening shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric experience within the previous 24 months, pediatric emergency room experience within 15 months, EPIC electronic medical record system experience within 12 months, active drivers license, and de-escalation certification.
- Additional Information: This role involves working with pediatric patients including Hematology/Oncology, Medical Surgical, and Pediatric specialties. Candidates should be comfortable floating across NICU, general pediatric units, and PICU. Orientation is scheduled to begin on 10/26/2026, with other available dates. No first-time travelers are accepted; at least one completed travel contract within the past 18 months is required.
