• Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour schedule (07:00 - 17:00)
• Shift Duration: 10 hours
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,750 - $2,890
• Call Requirement: 1 weekend per month and 1-2 weeknights per week
• Orientation: 30 hours
• Setting: Pediatric cardiac operating room with congenital heart surgery cases

Job Requirements

• 2 years of CVOR nursing experience required
• At least 1 completed travel assignment required
• Current RN license in hand; compact or state license accepted as applicable
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
• Experience in adult or pediatric cardiac operating room settings welcomed
• Epic charting experience required
• Strong knowledge of cardiac surgery and congenital heart surgery procedures preferred
• Ability to provide 2 professional references at time of submission, including at least one manager or supervisor
• Ready to work in a float-capable environment and adapt to different units as needed

Responsibilities

• Support cardiac surgical procedures in the CVOR with a focus on pediatric and congenital heart cases
• Assist with procedures such as valve repair/replacement, VAD implant, Norwood, Fontan, PDA ligation, and ASD/VSD repairs
• Provide safe, skilled intraoperative nursing care and maintain sterile technique throughout the surgical process
• Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams during induction, procedure setup, and case completion
• Monitor patient safety, infection control, and universal protocol compliance in the operating room
• Handle instruments, specimen labeling, equipment coordination, and procedural documentation accurately
• Participate in call coverage as scheduled and remain flexible for unit needs
• Support a positive, team-oriented environment where precision and patient-focused care are priorities
