Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric CVICU RN with Level I trauma CVICU experience and PALS certification for a 12-week day shift assignment.

Details

• Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) unit in a hospital setting
• Caring for pediatric patients with cardiovascular and critical care needs
• Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours per week
• Must float to PICU, NICU, and Stepdown units as needed
• Required to work 4 weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday dayshift) within a 4-week scheduling block

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by Oklahoma Board of Nursing or multistate compact (eNLC) license
• Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience required
• CVICU experience in a Level I trauma setting required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Full date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care to an assigned group of pediatric cardiovascular ICU patients
• Administer medications, monitor IV infusions and blood products, and track physiological data
• Collaborate with physicians on examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Communicate care plans with patients and families, including discharge instructions
• Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Facility strictly enforces credentialing and compliance deadlines with no start date flexibility
• First-time travelers may be considered
