Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring pediatric cardiac experience and TX or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU setting
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 13-week assignment, full time

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or Compact)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA only)
• 2 years of pediatric cardiac ICU experience required, including chest tubes, pacing wires, ventilators, and vasoactive infusions
• BSN preferred
• New graduates will be considered if 2 years of critical care experience is not met

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned pediatric cardiac patients
• Administer medications and treatments, monitor side effects and treatment effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers
• Complete New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire
• New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member and must complete organizational and department-specific competency validations
• Annual competency verification required
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius for local candidate consideration
• Previous CHRISTUS Health System employees must be separated for 6 months prior to starting a travel assignment
