Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Nurse Navigator for a pediatric clinic role focused on GI and Pulmonary phone triage, requiring NC or compact RN license and clinic experience.

Details

  • Pediatric clinic setting located within a hospital, covering GI and Pulmonary subspecialties
  • Non-patient-facing role focused on in-basket management and phone triage
  • Serves established patients ranging from children to adolescents up to 18 years old
  • Handles GI diagnoses such as constipation, reflux, hyperemesis, EOE, IBD, Crohn's, celiac disease, and blood in stool
  • Handles Pulmonary diagnoses such as asthma, bronchiolitis, ventilator/tracheostomy care, and cystic fibrosis
  • Manages phone triage, medication refills, and provider paperwork requests
  • 8-hour day shift schedule, 40 hours per week, 7:45 AM to 4:45 PM
  • No floating required
  • No on-call or call-back responsibilities
  • No weekend rotation required
  • Clinic closed for holidays

Requirements

  • Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of clinic experience required
  • Peds, GI, and/or Pulmonary experience preferred but not required
  • Minimum 12 months of core work experience in unit specialty area, with most recent experience within the last year
  • EPIC EMR experience preferred
  • Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration
  • Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

Additional Information

  • Supports established patients through phone triage and in-basket management rather than direct patient care
  • Works closely with a manager/supervisor, MAs, and 3 other RN Navigators in the same office
  • Orientation includes NEO and close partnership with other RN Navigators throughout the contract
  • Royal blue scrub color required
  • Free employee parking deck available
  • Clinical interview required, with final interview conducted by the manager
  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
  • Candidates must be separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year if previously in a permanent position
  • Local candidates not accepted; 50-mile radius rule applies
