Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric cardiac patients in a 34-bed CPCU.
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1 or 3:1 to ensure high-quality care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design and implement individualized care plans.
• Float within the facility to cover other units as needed, ensuring patient care continuity.
• Follow unit-specific protocols and contribute to unit-based quality improvement initiatives.
• Document patient care and responses to treatment accurately and timely.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Pediatric Cardiac Progressive Care or Cardiac Step-Down.
• At least 1 year of inpatient pediatric cardiology experience is essential.
• Strong knowledge of pediatric three-stage single ventricle care.
• Preferred experience with Pediatric Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD) and prior travel nursing experience.
