Join a leading healthcare provider as a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Tucson, AZ. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you can make a significant impact on patient care.

Position Overview: This position is part of a float pool, requiring flexibility to float between departments and various facilities. The RN will work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with a commitment to work 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule. The role is focused on providing high-quality care in a step-down unit from ICU, managing patients with cardiac drips and other complex conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate assigned patients and plan, implement, and document nursing care.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Perform various patient tests and administer medications within the scope of practice.
• Promote patient independence by establishing care goals and educating patients and families.
• Utilize experience and judgment to plan and accomplish patient care goals.

Qualifications:

• Current Arizona RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a relevant setting.
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR is required.
• Associate's degree in Nursing; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Ability to handle a patient ratio of 6:1.
• Must be willing to float between departments and facilities.
