Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU/Tele) position requiring 2 years of experience, travel experience, and a TX or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a hospital environment
- Telemetry patient population
- 13-week assignment
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:00)
- May be required to float to a different floor or to another campus
Requirements
- Active RN license (TX or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the service line required
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Altera charting system experience preferred but not required
Additional Information
- Deliver individualized nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process
- Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and desired patient outcomes
- Must be well-versed in a broad range of medical conditions
- Facility conducts its own mandatory drug screen upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with any positive result resulting in automatic cancellation
- Candidates should avoid any substances that could result in a positive drug screen, including CBD products
- Must reside 150 miles or more from the facility to be eligible for consideration
- Previous permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Clinicians must be available to complete required lab items within 72 hours of accepting the offer, or have a plan in place for timely completion
