We are seeking a dedicated Step Down Registered Nurse to join our team in Spokane, WA. This is a contract position in a leading acute-care hospital, known for its commitment to high-quality patient care and professional development. As a Step Down RN, you will play a vital role in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), providing exceptional care to patients transitioning from higher levels of care.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care to individuals in the PCU/Step Down unit.
Monitor and assess patient conditions, including cardiac drip management and titration.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
Educate patients and their families about health conditions and treatment plans.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (Epic).

Requirements:

1 year of nursing experience in a PCU/Step Down setting.
Cardiac drip experience with the ability to titrate and manage medications is a hard stop requirement.
Current RN license in the state of Washington.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
ACLS certification preferred.
