Facility: LBH Northwest Hospital
Unit: 2C/2D PCU
Start Date: October 12, 2026
Duration: 14 weeks
Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Schedule: 3x12s
Weekend: Every other weekend
Job Description
Seeking an experienced PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurse to provide care for adult and geriatric patients in a 40-bed, stroke-certified PCU.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of PCU/Stepdown or Med-Surg/Telemetry experience
- Maryland or Compact RN license required at submission
- BLS, ACLS, NIH required
- Strong EKG/telemetry interpretation experience
- Experience with non-titratable cardiac drips and heparin protocols
- CVA/stroke and chest tube management experience
- Comfortable caring for patients with CHF, COPD, MI, sepsis, pneumonia, GI bleed, renal failure, stroke, and AMS
- Cerner experience preferred
- Travel experience not required; first-time travelers accepted
Additional Details
- Typical ratio: 1:4, may increase to 1:5 based on acuity
- Floating required; non-tele Med-Surg ratio may be 1:6
- No block scheduling
- Locals accepted
- Scrubs: Navy blue; provided by facility
