Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Ortho IMC position requiring mixed acuity Med/Ortho/stepdown experience and compact or CO RN licensure.

Details

  • Mixed acuity Med/Ortho/stepdown unit setting
  • Night shift, 3x12hr shifts from 1900-0730
  • 36 hours per week
  • Weekend shifts required
  • Floating to other departments may be required based on business need and scope of competency
  • May be required to be on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
  • Uses Epic for clinical documentation

Requirements

  • Active RN license, Single State or Compact (CO) required
  • BLS (AHA) required, must not expire prior to start
  • ACLS (AHA) required, must not expire prior to start
  • NIHSS certification required
  • TNCC certification preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required, including at least 1 year in Med/Ortho/stepdown specialty
  • ASN required, BSN preferred
  • Epic charting experience required
  • DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing standards
  • Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient nursing care
  • Performs health teaching, counseling, and therapeutic treatment for patients
  • Documents care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
  • Reviews and monitors treatment plans and refers patients for further evaluation as needed
  • Returning Intermountain employees must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year to be eligible for this assignment
  • Background check and drug screening process required prior to start, with timely compliance expected
