Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift role requiring 2 years of acute inpatient PCU experience and a KY or compact RN license.

Details

  • 32-bed Advanced Surgical Med-Surg unit specializing in bariatric, GI, and colorectal surgery patients
  • Night shift 1845-0715, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
  • Every other weekend required
  • Patient ratio of 5-6:1
  • Uses Epic EMR
  • RN reads telemetry but does not perform titration
  • Manages medications including TPN and pain management
  • Utilizes PCA, feeding tubes, trach care, peritoneal dialysis, and wound vac

Requirements

  • Active KY or compact RN license required
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient PCU RN experience required
  • Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
  • Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

  • Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and mentors/precepts team members
  • Participates in quality, safety, and service process improvement initiatives within a Practice Governance framework
  • No local rate drop for this position
