Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring cardiac drip titration experience and a WA or compact RN license.

Details

  • Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU/Stepdown) of a hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:00)
  • Patient ratios of 1:3-4
  • Required to work every other weekend
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Float priority given to travelers if overstaffed, floating to Telemetry or Med-Surg floors
  • Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

  • Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at submission
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
  • Minimum 1 year of recent PCU or Stepdown nursing experience required
  • Cardiac drip titration and management experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Teaching hospital experience preferred
  • Previous charge nurse experience preferred
  • Two supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required for consideration
  • Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide nursing care to cardiac telemetry and stepdown patients including cardiac drip titration and monitoring
  • Facility is a Short Term Acute Care, Level II Trauma Center, and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, and teaching hospital
  • Scrubs: any color for RN
  • No parking fees
  • May float between sister facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment
  • Holiday coverage required for one of either Thanksgiving or Christmas
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Former Providence facility employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
  • Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
  • Minimal RTO requests accepted; all time-off requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
