Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse with 2 years of experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to join our team. This position involves providing patient care and support within a dynamic healthcare environment, requiring adaptability to float between units as needed. The role includes working weekdays, some weekends, and rotating holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in a PCU setting, ensuring a patient ratio of 1:3.
• Float within units of equivalent or lower acuity as required.
• Administer medications and provide treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patients' conditions and document medical information accurately.
• Perform IV starts and manage telemetry monitoring for patients.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Proficient in IV start techniques and telemetry monitoring.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system is required.

Schedule

This position entails working night shifts, specifically 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30.

• WMC Monthly Permit: 24/7 access to designated garage.
• WB Annual Permit: Access to specific garages on weekends and holidays.
• CXS Annual Permit: Multiple parking locations with 24/7 access.

Refund Information

Prorated refunds may be available for unused future months on annual permits. No refunds will be issued for current or prior months. Cancellations must be made by 6:30 p.m. on the last business day of the month.
