Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum of 2 years of acute inpatient Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification required
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification required
  • Epic experience required
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and reassessments based on condition and clinical need
  • Develop, prioritize, implement, and revise individualized plans of care
  • Monitor and document patient responses to interventions and treatments
  • Educate patients and families to support understanding, comfort, and discharge readiness
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate safe, effective progressive care
  • Delegate appropriately to licensed and non-licensed team members
  • Serve as a mentor and preceptor while promoting teamwork and quality improvement
  • Support compliance with regulatory standards and nursing practice governance expectations
