Job Requirements

• Active RN license required; compact license must be in hand at submission if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of PCU nursing or stepdown nursing experience required
• Experience titrating and managing cardiac drips is a hard-stop requirement
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic charting required
• Comfortable caring for adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced acute care setting
• Must be available for every other weekend rotation
• Ability to adapt to floating expectations as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to progressive care and stepdown patients
• Monitor telemetry and assess for changes in cardiac status and overall condition
• Titrate and manage cardiac and vasoactive drips safely and effectively
• Care for patients with CHF, Afib RVR, chest pain, post-cardiac cath, and related diagnoses
• Administer medications, complete assessments, and document care accurately in Epic
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support safe, coordinated patient care
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and assist with unit interventions as needed
• Maintain strong communication, professionalism, and flexibility throughout the assignment
