Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of PCU, stepdown, or progressive care nursing experience required
• Hands-on experience managing and titrating cardiac drips required
• Ability to manage and titrate vasoactive drips required
• Current RN license required; compact license must be in hand at submission if applicable
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Strong telemetry, cardiac monitoring, and rhythm interpretation skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care hospital environment

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for adult and geriatric PCU/stepdown patients
• Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in cardiac and medical patient conditions
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips safely and accurately
• Support patients with diagnoses such as CHF, Afib RVR, chest pain, and post-cardiac procedures
• Interpret telemetry and dysrhythmias and escalate concerns appropriately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to deliver high-quality patient care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Epic
• Float as needed within the acute care setting based on patient and unit needs
