Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) role requiring 2 years of acute care PCU experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

  • Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting within a hospital
  • Day shift schedule, 06:45-19:15, three 12-hour shifts per week
  • 36 hours per week with every other weekend required per unit need
  • Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

  • Active KY or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient PCU RN experience required
  • Neuro experience required
  • Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required

Additional Information

  • Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation for a group of patients
  • Supervises and delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff
  • Provides patient and family education specific to care, treatment, and discharge needs
  • Mentors and precepts staff while promoting teamwork and quality improvement efforts
  • Participates in a Practice Governance model and complies with regulatory standards
