• Setting: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Telemetry / Med-Surg Step Down
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: Approximately 3 shifts per week
• Hours per Week: 36
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Weekend Coverage: Required, typically every other to every third weekend based on unit needs
• Floating: May be required to float within scope to med-surg floors and sister units as needed

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado or a compact license in hand
• Minimum of 2 years of critical care, Progressive Care Unit, or ICU nursing experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience caring for adult med-surg and step-down PCU patients preferred
• Comfort working with mixed-acuity patients including cardiac, respiratory, and mildly hemodynamically unstable cases
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Ability to adapt quickly, work independently, and thrive in a team-oriented healthcare environment

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult Progressive Care Unit patients with a variety of complex conditions
• Monitor and manage telemetry, respiratory support, and hemodynamic changes within the RN scope of practice
• Administer medications, blood products, and ordered therapies safely and accurately
• Perform ongoing patient assessments and respond to changes in condition with urgency and clinical judgment
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, IV teams, pharmacy, radiology, and other interdisciplinary support services
• Support care for patients requiring BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, tracheostomy support, and other advanced PCU interventions
• Maintain accurate computerized documentation and communicate effectively with the care team
• Float within scope as needed to support patient care across related units
