Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Surgical Progressive Care Unit position requiring 2+ years of PCU experience and FL or compact RN licensure.

Details

  • 36-bed Surgical PCU within a hospital setting
  • Will work across both 3E and 3W units
  • Patient ratios of 4 to 5:1
  • 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
  • EMR: Epic
  • Floating required, with travelers prioritized to float first, including to sister campuses
  • No on-call requirements

Requirements

  • Active RN license (FL or Compact) currently in hand
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
  • Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience preferred
  • Degree accreditation must be verifiable, or candidate must have 5 years of acute care experience
  • Driver's license address must match the address on file with the Board of Nursing
  • Required documents for consideration: SSN card, DL, COVID and flu vaccination records

Additional Information

  • Scrub color requirement: Galaxy Blue or White
  • Must reside within 50 miles of the facility, with strict enforcement of this radius rule
  • Candidates must not own or cosign on property within the radius
  • All RTO must be submitted upfront and will not be approved after submission
  • Orientation begins on a Friday, with in-person badge/ID requirement that day
  • Hard document deadline is the Monday prior to start date, with no exceptions for pending documents
  • Travelers are expected to integrate fully with core staff and demonstrate flexibility and teamwork
  • No block scheduling requests permitted
