Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring 2 years of PCU experience and FL or compact RN licensure.

Details

  • Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting within a hospital
  • Patient ratios range from 1:4 to 1:5
  • Uses Epic EMR
  • 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
  • Floating required, with priority given to travelers, including potential float assignments to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes of the facility

Requirements

  • Active FL or compact RN license required
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
  • Travel experience preferred
  • Accredited nursing degree required on profile, or 5 years of acute care experience in lieu of accreditation
  • Driver's license address must match address on file with the Board of Nursing

Additional Information

  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility and not own or cosign property within that radius
  • Candidates must be willing to secure full-time housing in the area rather than commute from a distant permanent residence
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted in advance and will not be approved after submission
  • Orientation begins on a Friday and includes a remote component; candidates must be in the area on Friday for badge and ID processing
  • Hard document deadline is the Monday prior to start date, with no exceptions for pending documents
  • Travelers are expected to function as core staff and integrate fully into unit culture
