**Exciting Opportunity in a Dynamic Telemetry & Pulmonary Step Down Unit** **Job Description:** - **Location:** Progressive Care Unit - **Unit Size:** 18 beds - **Patient Ratios:** 1:4-5 for optimal care - **Comprehensive Staffing:** - 2 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) - 1 Unit Secretary - **Cutting-edge Equipment:** - Alaris pumps - Kangaroo pumps - Pxysis - Computers in every room - **Documentation System:** Meditech - **Flexible Scheduling:** - Self-scheduling available - Includes 3 weekend shifts every 4 weeks - **On Call Requirements:** None - **Floating Policy:** - Priority to Travelers - Followed by PRN staff - Documentation of last float - **Patient Experience Focus:** - Emphasis on courtesy, respect, and teamwork in patient care - **Certifications Required:** - ACLS - BLS - NIH - **Advanced Skills & Responsibilities:** - Care for patients with moderate physiologic instability - Support for conditions like COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, CHF, and trach patients - Cardiac & respiratory monitoring every 2-4 hours - Procedures including oxygen therapy: - Nasal Cannula - BIPAP/CPAP (up to 80%) - AirVo (Low Flo) - Routine Nursing Interventions every 3-4 hours - Vital Signs monitoring every 4 hours - Continuous cardiac monitoring - Blood Glucose Monitoring every 4 hours - Neurological monitoring as needed - **Dress Code:** Royal Blue uniform required - **Guidelines/Policies:** - Adhere to Tele unit-specific standards of care - Follow Tele nurse performance expectations **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
