**Join Our Dynamic Team as a Progressive Care Unit (PCU/Tele) Registered Nurse!** **Job Description:** - **Shift:** 7 PM - 7 AM - **Guaranteed Hours:** 48 hours preferred - **Start Date:** 12/14 **Unit Overview:** - **Location:** Progressive Care Unit - **Number of Beds:** 18 - **Patient Ratios:** 1:4-5 - **Staffing Support:** 2 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) and 1 Unit Secretary **Equipment Utilized:** - Alaris pumps - Kangaroo pumps - Pyxis medication management - Computers available in every room **Documentation System:** - Meditech **Scheduling Requirements:** - Self-scheduling including 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule **On Call Requirements:** - None **Floating Policy:** - Travelers, then PRN staff, based on last floating date **Patient Experience Focus:** - Cultivating courtesy and respect among nursing staff - Teamwork for exceptional patient care **Required Certifications:** - ACLS - BLS - NIH **Must-Have Skill Set:** - Experience in Telemetry and Pulmonary step-down care - Knowledge of managing patients with: - COPD exacerbations - Pneumonia - Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) - Tracheostomy patients **Advanced Skills:** - Care for hemodynamically stable patients requiring cardiac and respiratory monitoring - Oxygen therapy administration: - Nasal Cannula - BIPAP/CPAP (up to 80%) - AirVo (Low Flow) **Nursing Interventions Required:** - Assessments at least every 3-4 hours - Vital signs monitoring every 4 hours - Continuous cardiac monitoring - Blood glucose monitoring every 4 hours - Neurological monitoring as needed (NIHSS) **Dress Code:** - Required Uniform: Royal Blue **Unit Guidelines/Policies:** - Adhere to Tele unit specific standards of care - Follow Tele nurse performance expectations **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
