Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stroke & Progressive Care Unit position requiring NIHSS certification and telemetry/stroke care experience.

Details

• 13-week travel assignment on the Stroke & Brain unit (5E PCU)
• 16-bed unit with a 4:1 patient ratio
• Tech support available on the unit
• Uses Welch Allyn VS machines, Hoyer lift, Sara Steady lift, telemetry, bladder scanner, and Doppler equipment
• Documentation via Meditech
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Scheduled for 3 shifts per week, including 3-4 weekend shifts per schedule
• Floating required to any area of demonstrated competency for agency and contract staff

Requirements

• Active RN license (MO or Compact) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience in telemetry, stroke, or neurology required
• Experience with cardiac drips and basic dysrhythmia recognition required
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Care for a patient population requiring telemetry monitoring and stroke/neurological care
• High employee engagement reported on the unit
• Navy blue scrubs required per unit dress code
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• No local candidates accepted
• Two professional references required for Missouri-based assignments
