Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care on a 20-bed Progressive Care Unit with a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
  • Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and demonstrate strong dysrhythmia recognition skills
  • Manage patients on critical drips and monitor hemodynamic status
  • Float as needed to Med/Surg, ICU (border patients), and the Emergency Department (ED holds)
  • Operate GE cardiac monitoring systems and Hospira IV pumps; document care using Expanse EMR
  • Participate in every-other-weekend rotation or equivalent based on staffing needs

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Compact license required at time of submission
  • Minimum 2 years of PCU experience in a hospital setting
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • NIHSS (NIAH) certification required
  • Strong dysrhythmia recognition and critical drip experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Pre- and post-cardiac catheterization patient care experience
  • Pacemaker patient care experience
  • Prior experience within the HCA healthcare system
