Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift position, with oncology experience preferred and a MI RN license required.

Details

  • Work in the Progressive Care Unit (11 East) of a hospital environment
  • 13-week contract assignment
  • Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • Unit administers non-vesicant chemotherapy following completion of a unit-based oncology course and unit orientation
  • Vesicant chemotherapy administration requires completion of the ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy course or OCN certification

Requirements

  • Active MI RN license required
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
  • Oncology experience preferred
  • ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy course completion or OCN certification required to be assigned patients actively receiving chemotherapy infusions

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care on a progressive care/telemetry unit with an oncology patient population
  • Complete unit-based oncology course and orientation prior to administering non-vesicant chemotherapy
  • Local candidates residing in MI are eligible for local rates
