Unit: 4th Floor East Wing
Unit Type: Stepdown
Level of Care: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Number of Beds: 55
Patient Population: Adults and occasional pediatrics (15 years and older)
Shift Length: 12 hours
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Shift Times: 0630-1830, 1830-0630
Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
Unit Challenges: Staffing issues may arise, and adaptability is essential.
Patient Experience Focus: Emphasis on hourly rounding and timely responsiveness to patient needs.
The ideal candidate for this unit will be able to efficiently manage the day-to-day operations and seamlessly collaborate with a cohesive team that prioritizes mutual support.
