Seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Shelby, NC. Ideal candidates will have at least 18 months of PCU experience and be comfortable working in a unit that handles a variety of patient types, ranging from respiratory illnesses to cardiac conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care for patients with conditions such as CHF, dysrhythmia, and stroke
  • Manage patients requiring cardiac rhythms interpretation and trach care
  • Administer medications and utilize cardiac gtt experience
  • Perform wound care and dressing changes
  • Support patients through ETOH withdrawal and other acute conditions
  • Maintain and manage central lines

Qualifications

Required:

  • 18 months of PCU RN experience
  • BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
  • Skills in cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach and chest tube care, and blood product administration
