Assignment Overview

Seeking an experienced RN for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Shelby, NC. The ideal candidate will have at least 18 months of PCU experience and be comfortable working in a variety of clinical situations common to this unit, such as CHF, dysrhythmia, and stroke. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

  • Charting System: EMR: EPIC
  • Technology/Equipment: Alaris IV Pump, Omnicell Med Dispensing, Phillips Monitors
  • Floating: Required within region and scope of practice
  • Orientation: NEO and 2 days departmental

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care for a variety of medical conditions
  • Collaborate with CNA's, Charge Nurse, Hospitalist, and Intensivist for patient care
  • Conduct telemetry monitoring at bedside and nurses station

Qualifications

Required:

  • 18 months of PCU RN experience
  • BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
  • Skills in traches, cardiac gtt, cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, blood products, wound care, and central lines management
