**Join Our Dynamic Clinical Decision Unit Team!** **Job Description:** - **Location:** Main Campus - **Address:** 509 Biltmore Avenue - **Unit Name:** D2 - **Cost Center:** 64812 **Unit Specifics:** - Scrub Color(s): Navy Blue/White or combination of the two - Number of Beds: 40 - Patient Ratios: 1:5 Step-Down / 1:6 MedSurg – 1:5 if combined – day and night - Unit Staffing Description: Goal is a free charge, typically 1-2 CNAs based on volume – day and night - Type of Equipment: Baxter IV pumps - Documentation System: Cerner - Scheduling Requirements: Every other weekend, no call, assist with holidays - Floating Policy: Expected to float to other units within skill set - Patient Experience Requirements: Patient safety and care come first **Hiring Profile:** - Requested Skill Set: Minimum of 2-years recent MedSurg, Telemetry (remote), and Step-Down (PCU) level experience - Must Have: Positive attitude and teamwork focus for this fast-paced, quick-turnover unit - Our Focus: ED decompression and enhanced throughput - Not an overflow or holding unit: We are a Clinical Decision/Direct Admit Unit - Responsibilities: Receive admitted patients from the ED, complete Admission Assessments, Medication Reconciliation, and initiate acute care orders - Advanced Skills Needed: Charge Nurse experience or willingness to consider **Procedures Performed on Unit:** - Minimal bedside procedures due to the environment **Certifications Required:** - BLS - ACLS - NIHSS **Dress Code:** - Required uniform: Navy Blue/White or combination of the two colors – no t-shirts - Appropriate navy or white jacket/sweater if needed **Why Join Us?** - Most of our travel nurses request extensions and enjoy long-term stays with us! - Float opportunities to other units as needed - Additional opportunities in our CMU Telemetry Unit and as ED Transporters - CMU Telemetry Nurses oversee patient safety and escalate clinical issues - ED Transport Nurses help move higher acuity patients, allowing ED nurses to focus on care **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
