**Join Our Dynamic Team as a Travel RN in PCU Staffing Pool!** **Job Description:** - **Location:** Main Campus - **Unit Name:** D2 - **Address:** 509 Biltmore Avenue - **Cost Center:** 64812 **Why You’ll Love This Opportunity:** - **Scrub Colors:** Navy Blue/White or a combination of the two - **Patient Care:** - 40 beds available - Patient Ratios: 1:5 Step-Down / 1:6 MedSurg (1:5 if combined) - Day and night shifts available - **Unit Highlights:** - Goal of maintaining a free charge with typically 1-2 CNAs based on volume - Equipment: Baxter IV pumps - Documentation System: Cerner - Schedule: Every other weekend, no call, support with holidays - **Floating Policy:** - Expected to float to other units within skill set - **Focus on Patient Experience:** - Safety and care are the #1 priorities - Work in a fast-paced environment focused on ED decompression and enhanced throughput - **Patient Care Role:** - Receive admitted patients from the ED - Complete Admission Assessments and initiate acute care orders **What We’re Looking For:** - **Experience:** - Minimum of 2 years recent MedSurg, Telemetry (remote), and Step-Down (PCU) experience - **Skills Needed:** - Positive attitude and focus on teamwork - Charge Nurse experience or a willingness to develop those skills appreciated - **Certifications Required:** - BLS, ACLS, NIHSS **Dress Code:** - Navy Blue/White or a combination (no t-shirts, appropriate jackets/sweaters allowed) **Additional Information:** - Many travel nurses have requested extensions, enjoying the collaborative and engaging environment. - Opportunities in the CMU Telemetry Unit and as ED Transport Nurses available. - CMU Telemetry: Focus on ensuring patient safety and timely telemetry orders. - ED Transport: Assist in moving higher acuity patients from the ED to specialized units, enhancing throughput. **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
