Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Start Date: Available for immediate consideration

Position Details

  • Patient Ratio: 5:1
  • Number of Beds: 24
  • EMR: Meditech / CPN
  • Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Shift: Nights

Required Experience & Certifications

  • Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PCU experience
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIH certification

Candidates without the required PCU experience and certifications will not be considered.

Preferred Experience

  • Cardiac experience
  • Previous Meditech experience

Unit & Patient Population

This is a progressive care unit caring for a diverse patient population, including:

  • Elective orthopedic procedures
  • Spine and joint surgeries
  • GYN surgeries
  • Post-operative surgical patients
  • Post-cath lab patients
  • Post-PCI patients
  • Post-pacemaker patients
  • Ablation and cardioversion patients
  • Revascularization patients
  • Stroke patients
  • Chest pain
  • Renal failure
  • Respiratory failure
  • CIWA patients
  • Cardiac drips, including non-titrating drips and heparin

  • Telemetry monitoring
  • Post-operative monitoring
  • Cardiac monitoring
  • State-of-the-art unit
  • ADA/Bariatric rooms
  • In-room Hoyer lifts

Unit Culture & Scheduling

  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration
  • Friendly and outgoing team environment
  • Wide range of nursing experience among staff
  • Modified self-scheduling process
  • Schedules posted approximately 3 weeks in advance
  • Flexible scheduling allows time to arrange shift trades when needed
