Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the PCU unit is responsible for delivering direct patient care, assessing health conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care to patients with complex medical issues, including those with sepsis, STEMI, and COVID.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and titrate drips such as Heparin and Amiodarone
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient care planning
• Maintain accurate patient records using the EPIC charting system
• Perform patient admissions and discharges within a structured time frame

Requirements:

• Active RN license
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Minimum RN experience in a similar acute care setting
• Compliance with fingernail policy
• Pass a 90% score on orientation open book skills exam
