Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend Required | Every Other Holiday Required

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide telemetry and stepdown-level care for adult and geriatric patients, including those with long-term pulmonary conditions, ENT surgical procedures, and other diagnoses requiring PCU-level monitoring
  • Perform cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and participate in Rapid Response and Code team activations
  • Administer oxygen therapy and manage non-invasive airway support including nasal cannula
  • Manage cardiac drips (no titration required) and administer blood products
  • Maintain central line and peripheral line care; perform IV therapy and phlebotomy; adhere to isolation precautions
  • Float within skillset as needed; maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4–5

Required Qualifications

  • Active New York Single State RN license required at time of submission (NY is not a Compact state; pending licenses not accepted)
  • ACLS certification required
  • BLS certification required
  • NIHSS certification required — must include valid NIHSS documentation at time of submission
  • EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant clinical experience required
  • Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Prior experience in a PCU, DOU, or IMC setting
  • Experience with surgical stepdown patient populations including vascular, thoracic, or oncology cases
  • Familiarity with travel nursing compliance expectations and pre-start module completion
