Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring 2 years of cardiac telemetry experience and a NC or compact RN license.

Details

  • PCU unit with a 1:5 patient ratio
  • Day shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00am-7:30pm
  • Weekend rotation and holiday rotation required
  • No call requirements
  • Floating required to any Cone Health campus as needed

Requirements

  • Active NC or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Cardiac telemetry experience required
  • Experience with management and interpretation of dysrhythmias
  • Experience with peripheral line care/management and PICC line management
  • Experience titrating drips
  • Experience with PCU ratios required
  • EPIC EMR experience required
  • Must pass a Pass/Fail EKG compliance exam with up to two attempts allowed

Additional Information

  • Provide care for cardiac telemetry and progressive care patients, including dysrhythmia management and drip titration
  • Manage peripheral and PICC lines
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Previous charge experience preferred
  • Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
  • RTO must be submitted with the initial application; no post-submission RTO requests accepted
