Join a leading healthcare organization as a PCU Registered Nurse in Lee's Summit, MO. This contract position in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on patient care. We are seeking dedicated RNs with a passion for providing high-quality care to patients in need.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit, adhering to established protocols and standards.
• Monitor patient conditions, including cardiac telemetry and management of dysrhythmias.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy, including blood product administration and central line care.
• Conduct assessments and provide care for patients with a variety of conditions, including stroke, heart failure, and respiratory failure.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in charge RN assignments and holiday shifts as needed.
• Float between departments and units as required by facility needs.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required; first-timers accepted.
• Certifications: BLS, NIHSS, ACLS preferred.
• Skills: Proficient in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and management of various medical conditions.
• Work Settings: Experience in MS/Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, and Intermediate care preferred.
• Special Requirements: Ability to care for a wide variety of patients, including those requiring higher-level care monitoring.
• Guaranteed Hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks.
