**Join Our Dynamic Cardiac Care Team as a Travel RN - PCU!** **Job Description:** - **Unit Overview:** - 30 bed progressive care unit specializing in cardiac care. - Supportive team of 65 staff members including RNs and PCTs. - Day Shift: 1 Charge RN, 5-8 RNs, 2-4 PCTs. - Night Shift: 1 Charge RN, 5-8 nurses, 2-3 PCTs. - Patient Ratios: 1:4, often in a 1:5 ratio. - State-of-the-art equipment: Tele, transport monitors, suction, feeding pumps, trachs, bipap, cpap, heated high flow, chest tubes, foleys, pacer wires/pacers, IV pumps, SCD pumps. - EMR System: Meditech. - **Essential Requirements:** - Minimum 1-year current acute care PCU hospital experience. - Certifications: BLS, ACLS, & NIH. - **Preferred Skills:** - Chest tube management and removal, pacer wire removal, 12 lead EKGs. - O2 management (up to BIPAP & heated high flow). - Experience with medication drips: heparin, diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, dobutamine, milrinone, ketamine. - **Typical Procedures:** - Post-cath care (right & left heart caths, TAVRs, ablations, watchman, pacemaker implantations). - Post thoracic surgery care (VATs/RATs, resections, lobectomies, chest tube management). - Pre & post care of open-heart surgical patients (CABGs, MVRs, AVRs, aortic dissection repairs). - Vascular surgery post-op care. - **Ideal Candidate Profile:** - A great team player with a high level of energy. - Flexible and adaptable to change. - Values communication & collaboration within the team. - **Why Choose This Assignment?** - Fast-paced and challenging cardiac unit recognized as a center for excellence. - High acuity progressive/intermediate care environment. - Opportunities to work with the latest equipment and advanced technologies. - Well-tenured and experienced staff providing mentorship and support. **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
