Travel RN – PCU / Progressive Care Unit

Location

Wichita, KS | Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in a 14-bed Progressive Care Unit with a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
  • Operate and monitor equipment including chest tubes, IV pumps, and various other drains
  • Document patient care and clinical information using Meditech EMR
  • Collaborate with RNs and PCTs across day and night shifts to ensure continuity of care
  • Float to other units as needed per facility guidelines

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of current hospital PCU experience
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification required
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification required
  • Active and unrestricted RN license

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Knowledge of and experience with medication drips
  • Experience with central line management
  • Catch recovery experience
