Join a leading acute-care hospital as a PCU Registered Nurse in Winston-Salem, NC! We are seeking dedicated and experienced RNs for a contract position in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Step Down. This role is perfect for those who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about providing high-quality patient care.

Job Details:

Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years
Required Traveler Experience: Must have previous travel experience
Skills: IV start, Vents, Telemetry, CPAP/BiPAP, Interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
Certifications: ACLS, BLS
Preferred Certifications: NIHSS
Target Ratios: 1:4-5 (Mixed acuity unit with PCU and MS/Tele patients; may go to 1:6 in extreme situations)
Patient Population: COPD, pneumonia, respiratory distress, COVID-19, flu, pulmonary embolisms
Unit Details: 48 beds, high acuity, team lead present, 2 respiratory therapists, assistant nurse manager on shift
Float Requirement: Required to float to like units
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Special Equipment: Chest tubes, drips (Dopamine, Cardizem, Heparin), vents, trachs, BiPAP/CPAP
Unit Systems: Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR
Unit Orientation: 24 hours
Scrubs: Not provided (white or navy blue)
