Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit – Albuquerque, NM 87102

Start Date: August 31, 2026

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico

Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM). Option of 36 or 48 hours per week. Rotating weekend coverage as needed. Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5.

Highlights:

• Work in a specialized cardiac stepdown unit with a significant cardiovascular patient population
• 13-week travel assignment with competitive compensation and comprehensive support
• Gain experience managing complex cardiac patients including post-MI, post-cardiac cath, and cardiac drip management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and physical therapy
• 55-bed unit with an average daily census of 38 patients
• Floating to like units within scope may be required based on facility needs

Requirements:

• Active New Mexico or Compact RN license (pending license accepted if obtained prior to start date)
• Minimum 2 years of progressive care or stepdown experience preferred (1+ years considered)
• Cardiovascular experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required; CPI preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency in cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia management, cardiac drip management, central line care, and post-cardiac procedure care
• First-time travelers accepted; previous staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile local radius
