• Number of Beds: 30 (22 Acute Care, 8 Stepdown)
• Patient Ratios: 6:1 on Acute Care, 4:1 on Neuro Stepdown
• Staffing: 1 RN Charge, 1-2 Techs, 1 Unit Secretary
• Equipment:
  • Acute Care: Vital sign machine, high flow oxygen, chest tubes, suction, and various drips
  • Neuro Stepdown: Vapotherm, Bipap, Trachs, titrating cardiac drips
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling: Weekend shifts are required
• Floating Policy: Experienced nurses may float after orientation
• Patient Experience: Bedside shift report, personal connection, daily huddle

Certifications

• BLS for Acute Care
• BLS and ACLS for Neuro Stepdown
