Position Overview

This is a tele step-down high acuity unit designed for post-ICU care, managing drips, stable ventilators, and more. The unit operates in a fast-paced environment, requiring clinicians with the ability to work independently.

Unit Information

• Type of Care: Post-ICU care including drips and stable ventilators; no use of vasopressors.
• Charting System: Cerner charting.
• Patient Ratios:
  • IMCU: 3-4 patients per nurse
  • Tele-Medical/Surgical: 5-6 patients per nurse, with Patient Care Technician assistance
• Floating Requirements: Must be comfortable floating to Tele/Tele Medical-Surgical units.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in a high acuity or tele step-down setting is preferred.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a dynamic healthcare environment.
• Strong independent decision-making skills.
