Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/05/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU Unit Information Location: 4W St. Mark's, City: Salt Lake City, State: UT Number of Beds: 34 Staff Count: 45 Staffing Structure: Day Shift: 3-4 Registered Nurses (RNs), 1-2 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) Night Shift: 3-4 Registered Nurses (RNs), 1-2 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) Patient Ratios: 4:1 Type of Equipment: Cardiac Monitors, Telemetry, IV Pumps, PCA and Epidural Pumps, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Bi-PAP Machines, Feeding Tubes Electronic Medical Records (EMR): EPIC Role Responsibilities The Registered Nurse will provide patient care within the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), including but not limited to: Monitoring and assessment of patients Feeding tube placement and management Medication administration and IV therapy Documentation and care plan updates using electronic medical records Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role is required. Required Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Basic Life Support (BLS) Essential Skills: Time management Critical thinking and decision-making abilities Preferred Skills: Experience with telemetry and cardiac monitoring Familiarity with feeding tube placement and management Work Environment This position requires flexibility, including the ability to work weekends, with expectations to work every other weekend. There is no on-call requirement for this role. Dress Code Uniform: Caribbean Blue Scrubs Floating Areas The RN may be required to float to Med/Surg and Intermediate Care Units (IMCU) as needed.
