Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU

Unit Information

The position is located in a progressive care unit (PCU) specializing in neuro patients.

• Number of Beds: 19
• Staffing:
  • Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 5 Nurses (RN or LVN), 2 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), 1 Health Unit Coordinator (HUC)
  • Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 5 Nurses (RN or LVN), 2 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)
• Patient Ratios: 4-5 patients per nurse
• EMR System: Meditech

General Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the PCU, including but not limited to:

• Monitoring and managing patients' health status
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
• Providing education and support to patients and their families
• Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards

Qualifications

Skills Required:

• Proven competency in progressive care unit practices

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with neuro patients

Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)

Work Schedule

Candidate must be available to work rotating weekends.

Dress Code

• Nurses: Royal Blue Scrubs
• PCTs: Maroon Scrubs

Years of Experience

Minimum of 1 year of experience required.
