Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care/Med-Surg Telemetry position requiring 2 years of PCU/MS-Tele experience and floating to multiple units and campuses.

Details

• Med-Surg/Telemetry unit (5W) with 36 beds, cross-trained to PCU
• Patient ratios of 5 to 6:1 RN
• 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required to other MS units, PCU, ED Hold, and sister campuses, with travelers prioritized for floating
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of PCU mixed with MS/Tele experience required
• Nursing degree from an accredited program or 5 years of experience required
• Driver's license address must match address on file with the Board of Nursing
• Documentation required for consideration includes full address, email, full DOB, full SSN, and RN license number

Additional Information

• Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred
• Galaxy Blue or White scrubs required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
• All RTO must be submitted at time of consideration, as facility will not approve RTO after submission
• Orientation begins on a Friday, with in-person badge/ID requirement that day followed by remote orientation
• Strong team culture; travelers expected to integrate and function as core staff
• Hard document deadline is the Monday prior to start date with no exceptions for pending documents
• Block scheduling requests not accepted
• Candidates must be prepared to secure full-time housing in the area rather than commute
